What Is MEME?
MEME is primarily a hotline providing dedicated support to men that are facing difficult times and need resources. Our team is equipped with resources to handle all manner of issues, from legal run ins, relationship breakdowns, career uncertainties, substance misuse, and/or mental health concerns.
MEME's Mission
MEME’s mission is to aid men who are going through difficult times, such as legal issues, family court cases, and family matters, by supplying conversational support and connecting them to our trusted partner organizations that can help and guide our men to educational workshops, local men's groups, and/or therapists.
Message From The Founder
George Cervantes created Men Empowering Men Everyday (MEME) with a passion to ensure that all men have access to resources and support in their times of crisis, a mission that is informed by both his over decade long of experience working in the mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities fields through various positions as well as his personal experiences.
How Do We Get Our Referrals?
We serve all qualified men in contra costa county.
The majority of referrals we receive come through the criminal justice system, family court system, those affected by a crime, child protective services, and county case managers. However, all men are welcome to call us regardless of their referral source.
